A Prominent Influential Person (PIP) is someone who holds or has held a senior position in South African public life, including government ministers, senior military or judicial officials, executives of state-owned companies, or senior figures in political parties or religious institutions. A Politically Exposed Person (PEP) is the equivalent for foreign countries. This also includes immediate family members of a PIP or PEP. Examples include: members of parliament, mayors, judges, senior SAPS or SANDF officials, and executives of entities such as Eskom, Transnet, or the SABC. If you are unsure, select No.

A close associate means a known business partner or someone with whom you share significant personal or financial ties to a PIP or PEP. A casual acquaintance does not qualify. If you are unsure, select No.
